Do you ever have those days when you’re thankful you have clipless pedals while mountain biking?

Well, this was one of those days and one of those trails.

Aspen Slalom at Deer Valley dips into the trees and hugs the main lift to provide a steep and technical trail for riders that like a challenge. With some tight switchbacks and some chunk thrown in, this trail definitely gave me a run for my money.

However, I told myself I couldn’t stop because I had my clips in and I didn’t want to reclip in, so I preserved and made my way through the 1st section of Aspen Slalom.
