So many things focus on the negative:
“______ will happen to our Earth if we don’t Stop _______”
“Our earth will be gone by ______ if we don’t stop _________”
“Stop using _____ because *insert graphic photo here*”
And yes, some fear tactics work with the masses because the negative makes you feel guilty and horrified. But what if we switched to a more positive way to view the world. It still in a way is guilting you into change, but it feeds off you thoughts of “I should do this because other people are doing it” guilt instead of the “oh my god that’s awful and I’m going to see this image in my head every time I accept a plastic straw” guilt.
Let’s take a look at the things I do to stay positive about the state of our world:
Join the Climate Anxiety Support Group On Facebook
The name speaks for itself, but basically people post about the positive things in the world to relieve the stress of all that’s going on.
Follow Vegan Food Space

I know you’re already reading this, but become a following on Part Time Plants to keep up with my small ways to be an eco-CONSCIOUS consumer.
Listen to the Sustainability Leaders Podcast
I usually focus on the small things. My blog talks about eat bulk and going part-time plant-based, but it’s nice to hear about what people – leaders- are doing on local, state, national, and global levels. It’s assuring to hear that the leaders have the same feeling we do about the Earth, but on a larger scale.
Follow Zero Waste Memes
Yes, I know it’s feeding off negative things that are happening, but everything can be made better with some sarcastic humor.
Follow Easy Eco Tips
I absolutely love these easy to read graphics! There is rarely “Bad News” posts, and mostly just awesome tips and good news about our planet.
These are very small things, but they help me stay motivated and happy while I’m living the one life I’ve got.
