For a Christmas present last year, I got a special present when I received an email revealing that the film that I made last year was accepted into the Mammoth Film Festival. “Renaissance Woman, a Ski Film?” was an idea I had a couple years ago to showcase all the ways that I love to enjoy the sport of skiing. After the film released, I spent an afternoon applying to film festivals, and I was so excited that Mammoth FF was going to play it on the big screen.
The festival was held in early March in Mammoth Lakes, so Nic and I got the camper van ready, and hit the road for our first big trip. As we neared the festival dates, we realized that we would be rolling into town just before the “biggest storm of the month”.
