Last May, I was invited out to the RedBull Formation event, which is a women’s progression session in Virgin, UT. This inspirational free ride mountain bike event stemmed from RedBull Rampage, which is an annual bike competition that combines the likes of steep and technical drops up top with slopestyle jumps at the bottom. Not only are they riding these insane features, they are also responsible for creating and forming these lines with a digging team the week before the event.
RedBull Rampage is a process. A process of reading the environment, adding to new lines, accounting for the weather, practicing new features, and making it down the mountain in one piece. And the outcome is pretty spectacular.
Our first year attending Rampage was a whirlwind. From seeing the athletes session their newly dug features to meeting others from around the globe, we had a great couple of dusty days out in the Utah desert.
Huge thanks to RedBull for having us out! I also want to shoutout VanCraft for letting us use one of their vans, which made it easy camp out ear the venue. If you are in the Denver, San Diego, or Salt Lake City areas, make sure to check out VanCraft!
Head to my other social accounts for more content, and enjoy the ride!
Also, thanks to Nic for grabbing all the sweetest shots of the event.
Your nacforadventurers and Rampage onlookers,
AJ and Nic
