I’m super stoked on the first nac for adventure spotlight! And it’s fitting that it’s the first friend I made in college…. the one and only Allison Stassel. She’s a bad ass lady adventurer, but also is one of the smartest people I have ever met (med school, you better watch out). So let’s get to know Alli:

Alli Stassel

Evolving

Adventure
What’s the coolest place you’ve ever been to?
The top of Kilimanjaro, Tanzania
What piece of gear do you always have to bring on a trip?
My Klymit sleeping pad. It’s great for camping, and I also bring it on every flight in case I get stuck at an airport overnight!
Do you like venturing solo or with friends? If friends, then who are your adventure buddies?
AJ, Fran, Nick, Kat, Kelly and Marlee. These are definitely my go to gals (and guy) for any fun adventure.
Roadtrips or Flights?
Road trips! I love the drive from Alaska to the lower 48. There are so many hidden gems throughout Canada.
What is your go-to hike or trip destination?
Rabbit Lake in the Chugach Mountains! It’s a great day hike but I’d recommend turning it into an over night backpacking trip.

What’s something you do to minimize your environmental impact? It can be the smallest thing or the biggest thing?
I eat a plant based lifestyle and try to limit my single use plastic.
What’s the coolest item that you have ever thrifted and what made you get it?
I just bought the best fleece lined Carhartt pants… It’s below zero for weeks in Alaska, and they are perfect to fight off this polar vortex.

Cauliflower tacos

Any New England Patriots game 😉
