Wine is one of my favorite alcohols to drink… but I didn’t realize until a couple months ago that many (and I mean most) wines aren’t vegan-friendly. I won’t go into too much detail…. but it’s similar to why I don’t eat gummies…. so I’ll just leave it at that. I’d rather focus on what wine is good to go:
White And Sparkling Wines
Bandit Sauvignon Blanc
Menage A Trois Sauvignon Blanc, Prosecco, and Chardonnay
Josh Cellars Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay
Gato Negro Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay
Sutter Home Moscato
Red Wines
Line 39 Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend, Petite Syrah, Pinot Noir, and Merlot
Red Truck Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, Red Wine, Petite Syrah, and Merlot
Josh Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon, Pinot Noir, and Merlot
Bandit Cabernet Sauvignon, Red Blend, and Merlot
Luckily, this is a very small list of the vegan wines that are out there. You can find more at barnivore.com (That’s where I sourced all my findings!). While you’re at the liquor store or grocery store, pull up the website while your searching the shelves.
While I try my best to lean towards vegan wines when buying my own, I often don’t perfectly follow a vegan diet when drinking wine at restaurants or other’s houses… but I am working on it, and I am very proud of myself for doing the research. Know that nobody’s perfect…not even wine….
