Wow! Summer shuttles are back!
For today’s ride, I head to the WOW (Wasatch Over Wasatch)trail, a flowy trail that goes from high alpine aspens to wooded evergreens, to chunky desert hillsides and lush green canyons.
Typical for Utah, this is a dusty trail, but it’s well-maintained, so it’s the perfect amount of loose. Over about 11 miles, this trail has a little over 2,200 feet descent, which makes for a great morning or evening ride.
The WOW trail is easily shuttle-able, but it is a two-way trail, so keep a lookout for courageous bikers heading up the countless switchbacks carved into the mountain.
I rode this trail as a part of evo Salt Lake’s Trailgate event, which benefitted the local trails organization, Wasatch Trails Foundation. Shoutout to them for keeping trails like this in good shape!
