Welcome back to the third installment of the Targhee Cirque Series!
After enjoying my first Cirque Series race at Snowbird, I immediately signed up for the race at the mountain that I grew up skiing at… Targhee. That was back in 2021, and now, it’s the third year running this beautiful course, and this video shares my journey.
As I write this description for the YouTube video and website, my legs are still very much sore from the 7.1 mile race. It might have been the. 2,200+ feet of elevation gain (mostly over the first 2.5 miles!). It might have been the fact that I fell a little short on training. It might have been a combination of both. Either way, I felt great during the race, and we couldn’t have asked for more perfect weather.

However, it isn’t all rainbows and wildflowers… I deal with some of the more troublesome sides to trail running as well…
